Membership
Services
Membership in the East Central California Chapter connects your business to the full resources of NECA — locally and nationally. Advocacy, labor relations, training, and the industry's best business resources, all in one membership.
If there is something that can further push the electrical industry in a legal and positive direction, NECA works hard to make that happen — locally and nationally.
Advocacy & Representation
- Access to the largest network of electrical contractors across the nation.
- A voice in shaping the environment in which you do business — ECC NECA and NECA National are active in Local, State, and Federal legislative activities.
- We negotiate the Inside Wireman's Agreement for the Fresno, Madera, Tulare, and Kings area with a committee of local contractors appointed from the NECA membership — a multiemployer collective bargaining agreement, which helps keep things fair.
- Access to NECA Chapter Managers throughout the State and Nation to help you with jobs locally and nationally.
Labor Relations & the IBEW
- Ability to provide input for the local Collective Bargaining Agreement with the IBEW.
- Labor Relations regarding the negotiated Collective Bargaining Agreement — we represent the employers, and if a grievance or question arises, we are here to help.
- Ability to provide input to better the local JATC where we train people to fill our workforce.
- An opportunity to become involved with the local JATC (Joint Apprenticeship Training Center), as well as other local committees.
Training & Business Resources
- Locally sponsored drug testing program to help keep your jobsites safe.
- Books and software on virtually every topic in the industry.
- Licensing support.
- Online education courses, as well as in-seat courses — many at no cost.
- ELECTRI research access: our Chapter is a founding member, with input on the research that guides the industry's future.
- NECA DOL-approved Project Manager Apprenticeship.
